Our fees vary depending on the type of service required and the type of referral, if any, that you may have.
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist, however, having one if you are eligible may reduce the overall cost to you.
If you have any questions about this, please speak to our friendly team.

Medicare Mental Health Care Plan Rebates (10 sessions per year)
If your GP provides a referral for you to see a psychologist under the Better Access program, you GP will conduct a short assessment to determine what your primary concerns are and will then complete a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) so you can make your first appointment with us. The care plan will be given to you, or it will be faxed direct to us. Clients with a MHCP may access up to 10 reduced rate sessions per calendar year.
Medicare requires that you pay the entire appointment fee, and then a rebate is processed by us and paid by Medicare into your bank account, generally within 2 business days. Your bank account must be registered with Medicare for us to be able to process this rebate at the time of your appointment. The rebate for a Clinical Psychology appointment is $137.05.
If you have a Health Care Card or Pension Card or are in financial distress please talk to us about reduced rates for your sessions.

According to the Better Access program rules and conditions, a MHCP from your GP cannot be used for these sessions.
If, for some reason, you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give the psychologist at least 5 business days’ notice. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than five business days’ notice will incur a late cancellation fee of $100.
The FULL CONSULTATION FEE will be charged for an appointment that has been cancelled on the day of the appointment or missed with no notice (non-attendance).
Please note, if a missed/late cancellation fee is incurred, all future appointments will also be cancelled until the outstanding fee has been attended to. Unfortunately, Medicare and DVA do not cover missed appointment fees and this charge must be paid privately by the client. The missed appointment fee may be waived if a medical certificate is provided. However, the certificate must be acquired and dated at the time of the medical concern and must clearly indicate that a medical practitioner has diagnosed a condition which prevents you from having your psychology appointment. We do offer telehealth options if this assists you to make your appointment.
Our psychologists are NDIS providers for self-managed and plan managed clients. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides Australians aged under 65, who have a permanent and significant disability with funding for supports and services. More information can be found at www.ndis.gov.au
The standard fee for NDIS individual therapy consultations is $222.99. Self-managed clients pay this fee at the time of their consultation, and we provide a receipt to claim on your NDIS funding. NDIS plan managed clients will need to provide us with the plan manager’s details, and we will invoice the plan manager directly. The number of sessions available will depend on the individual’s funding for psychological treatment.
Cancellation or missed appointment fee – As per recommendations provided by the NDIS, two business days’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without incurring a missed appointment fee. The missed appointment fee is $222.99 and is covered by your NDIS funding. If you are self-managed the outstanding amount must be paid before another session can be booked. Please note, if a missed appointment fee is incurred, all future appointments will also be cancelled until the outstanding fee has been attended to.

You may be able to claim a rebate for therapy if you have private health insurance. This is instead of or after you have used all your sessions under the Medicare Better Access program depending on the rules of your health fund. It can't be used to cover your out-of-pocket gap for Medicare funded sessions. Each insurer has different rules and rebates available dependent on the level of cover you have. Contact your health insurer directly for details on your cover.
We provide psychological therapy on behalf of WorkCover and other Insurance providers. Information is also available on the Queensland Government WorkSafe site at www.worksafe.qld.gov.au
We use secure encrypted software through Stripe and Power Diary to process payments. This allows charges and Medicare rebates to be processed automatically at the time of your appointment. If you have any concerns, please talk to us.
